Andover Modern
This 1950s modern needed a new kitchen along with an infusion of light into its dark dining room and kitchen. The owners also asked for a more welcoming entry and stair hall. The addition of a light monitor on the flat roof allowed light from all directions to come in from above and flood the kitchen/dining area with light. The spaces were opened up to one another while large opening into the living room and hallway allow for a nice flow. Contemporary gray cabinets continue the minimalist look while splashes of color enliven the space. The exterior received a fresh coat of paint but its details remain true to the original. The entry looks as if it has always been there.
