The Harbor

Originally built in 1840 as a sea captain’s home, this Historic District colonial has also been an office building and apartment, before our clients purchased it in 2018. Their dream was to modernize the interior of the historic structure while preserving the historic nature of the home on the street side. The main living area is now fully open front to back, allowing for a dining area, living area and kitchen. A small addition was added to the rear to allow for more space on this level and a roof deck above off the master bedroom. The rear of the home is more modern, with lots of glass to take in the view of the harbor. Keeping its historic front facade on the street allows this home to blend in well to its surroundings while also being perfect for modern, in-town living.
